Rajini bashes Suman in `Sivaji'!

Suman has been bashed about in Binny Mills by Rajini. Like
Gobichettypalayam, many of the film shootings takes place in Binny
Mills that has been unused for a very long time. One difference is,
Gobichettypalayam has a nature background and Binny Mills is all
dark interiors, suitable for mega action scenes. Recently, the
shooting of Boopathy Pandian's `Thiruvilayadal' and Mani
Ratnam's `Guru' took place here. The latest shooting to take place
here is Rajini and Suman clashing under Shankar's direction
in `Sivaji.'

As stunt master Peter Heins conjured up novel fight sequences, his
own master Kanal Kannan came up with suggestions now and then. The
fight was shot for 8 hours. According to a comment from an
onlooker, "`Sivaji' Rajini is faster than `Padayappa' or `Baba'
Rajini." Suman is the villain in the Rajini film, but in Kannada
films, he does god roles. In the Nagarjuna-Sneha
starrer `Sriramadasu,' Suman does the role of Rama. Earlier, he did
the role of Venkateswara in `Annamacharya.' Recently, Suman got
the opportunity to act as lord Sathyanarayana. The god's famous
shrine is located at Annaavaram near Kakinada. Since he's doing the
villain role in `Sivaji,' is he going to accept this
role? "Definitely. It's a blessing to get offer to play a divine
role, is it not?" says Suman.
